Executive Officers and Senior Management
Patricia Werner-Els, Chief Science Officer
With over 25 years of environmental industry expertise, Ms. Els brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as chief science officer of Advanced Waste & Water Technology. Her background in environmental lab operations and governmental regulations has prepared her for her current position as chief science officer. Ms. Els is responsible for all treatment plant operations, strategic direction, and new business initiatives.
Prior to Ms. Els coming on board with AWWT, she served as President of a full-service certified analytical laboratory based in Long Island.
Ms. Werner-Els received a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences from Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Madison, New Jersey, in 1983.
Stan Abrams, VP of Tech Management
Mr. Abrams has been involved in the bio-mass, waste-to-energy business for the last 25 years. Mr. Abrams developed two public companies that designed and built several waste-to-energy plants in the U.S. and seven foreign countries. He aided in the design of a patented bio-mass combustor and its six patents. His companies proved that solid waste can transform to make clean, safe energy. This impressive accomplishment fueled him to continue research and development of sustainable waste water remediation technology.
Bob Herbst, VP of Technology
Mr. Herbst has an extensive and diverse background in the area of water treatment technology. He has unsurpassed experience in the electrocoagulation process, which AWWT uses to recycle and reclaim water. Mr. Herbst has had a long and successful career in the industry, which includes his involvement in building several water treatment projects. These projects proved to be not only efficient but also environmentally sound, as well as compliant in the treatment of recycled water. We are proud to have Bob serve as AWWT’s VP of Technology.
Christopher Brown, Plant Supervisor
Mr. Brown’s current position at AWWT is Plant Supervisor. Utilizing his vast experience and qualifications in management, human resources, and plant maintenance, Mr. Brown settled into this role perfectly. Prior to coming on board with AWWT, Mr. Brown held various positions in operations management and human resources.
